Following an extended stay of almost a month with Belgium side KAA Gent, Caracas FC´s Gualberto Campos has moved on to the Rumanian capital of Bucharest where he will have a trial with FC Dinamo, one of the country´s leading sides.

Caracas FC have arranged three friendlies for the remaining days in July as part of their preparation for the Apertura tournament beginning August 10 in Puerto La Cruz.

To ensure the very latest and highest coaching standards at all levels within the club are maintained, Caracas FC continue sending staff to countries with a recognised footballing pedigree in order to learn about the very latest in high tech coaching methods.

As part of their pre-season training strategy which began on June 30, the Avila Reds with manager Noel Sanvicente at the helm took on local amateur club side Hermandad Gallega de Valencia on Sunday afternoon in the Venezuelan city of Maracay.

Well-known Argentine-born trainer Rodolfo Paladini, a fundamental piece in the Caracas FC coaching jigsaw headed by his colleague Noel Sanvicente, took time out to talk to the team´s press department during a break in pre-season training at Maracay in the build up to the start of the 2008-2009 campaign.

New signing Jamerson Rentería has already blended in with the squad at pre-season training in Maracay, undergoing the rigorous training routine expected of a first division side wanting to challenge for top honours in the coming campaign.

Taking a break from pre-season training in Caracas FC´s now-accustomed venue of Maracay, new signing in the shape of Colombian striker Zamir Valoyes spoke to the team´s press department about how things are going for him so far.

Manager Noel "Chita" Sanvicente is not standing still as the new season approaches and is constantly adding to his squad with an eye on both the Venezuelan league championship which kicks off on August 10 and Copa Libertadores action later in the season.

Neither the rain nor the traffic and not even a nip in the air could prevent Caracas FC´s Supporters Club and fans in general getting together this week at the UCV´s Olympic Stadium for a beer or two to celebrate the coming season in an event organised by club officials.

After some deliberation, Colombian defender Juan David Valencia has decided to remain in Colombia and play his football there next season, declining an offer to continue wearing the colours of Caracas FC who wanted the slender half back to continue with the squad.
