Training towards the 2009 pre-season has already begun at Caracas FC’s Cocodrilos Sports Park with players such as Irwin Anton, Cesar Gonzalez, Ever Espinoza, Manuel Di Maio and Jorge Casanova making appearances.
Lots of hard work awaited the players under the watchful eye of manager Noel Sanvicente with assistant coach Hector Rivas issuing instructions from 7.30 am through to 10am on Monday.
Goalkeeper Manuel D Maio said he was feeling better following a knee operation which kept him sidelined for a long spell while Ever Espinoza said he was pleased to be back after a loan spell with Llaneros FC during which time he proved his worth with the team from the Venezuelan Plains.
Jorge Casanova, known as The Pelican, is another player returning to the squad after loan spells with Deportivo Tachira and KF Elbasan in Albania.
The midfielder reckons he was well received by the fans in Tachira despite the fierce rivalry between the two Venezuelan sides who have dominated local football in recent years.
