Caracas FC’s squad arrived in Brazil on Saturday morning at 10.45am local time after leaving Maiquetia airport on Friday evening, eventually making their way to the Sheraton Porto Alegre where they will stay until Wednesday’s quarterfinal Copa Santander Libertadores return leg against Gremio in a scheduled 8.20pm (Venezuela time) kick off.
Manager Noel Sanvicente’s side will be working hard towards the vital match leaving nothing to chance.
Temperatures have ranged between seven and 15 degrees making acclimatization a fairly easy affair for the Reds’ squad who will take on Paulo César Autuori’s Gremio who themselves have a tough encounter today, Sunday, against Fluminense in the mythical Maracaná stadium.
For Wednesday’s matchup, the now 10-times Venezuelan league champions Caracas FC will be at full strength against the Brazilians.
A big screen will be available at the Plaza Miranda from 6pm onwards next to the CC Milenium shopping mall in los Dos Caminos together with live music and one or two surprises in the mix.
