Reds Injury List, 31.3.09
02 Apr 2009
As per usual, Caracas FC medical staff have issued the latest bulletin
regarding injuries to players and details of players already on the
mend.
Alejandro Guerra, having recovered from operations on both ankles, is
undergoing further and more intense training under the watchful eye of
the physio with a view to getting back on the pitch in the very near
future.
Another undergoing light training and working his back from a right
knee ligament injury is Rafael Castellín. A further prognosis on the
striker is expected in the next few days.
Bremer Piñango, having suffered a ruptured right thigh muscle tendon,
is awaiting results of a scan after being sidelined for the last three
weeks.
José Manuel Rey is another player with a right thigh injury. He came
off the field on March 3 and was recovering enough to be called up by
the national side for World Cup qualifying matches against Argentina
and Colombia only to be struck down again with a recurrence of the
injury during training. He is under day to day observation at Club
headquarters.
Others involved in separate training routines working their way back to
fitness are Guillermo Banquez and Jamerson Renteria. Banquez has been
suffering from a thigh muscle contraction for the past six days while
Jamerson has been sidelined for a week with knee trouble.
