CASA ITALIA DE MARACAY

During a gathering at the Hotel Micotti in the city of Maracay, Caracas FC and the Casa Italia de Maracay vowed to join forces in an effort to develop and strengthen junior football in both the Casa Italia and the city itself.

Caracas FC will provide the experience of the club’s various trainers and technical staff from the junior ranks in a bid to bolster the technical and tactical ability of players in the region. This in turn will provide Caracas FC with a chance to add the pick of the crop to their own junior squads in the future.

According to Caracas FC vice-president Philip Valentiner, the alliance will be beneficial to both parties at the heart of which will be the future development of young, local footballers.

In addition, Mr Valentiner expressed pride in being able to strengthen friendly ties further with an organisation which has always kept open its doors whenever Caracas FC came knocking.

On behalf of the Casa Italia, president Ciro Mauriello also expressed his satisfaction at being able to link up with the best footballing institution in the country, remembering the phrase "It is always useful to have friends in high places."

Present during the meeting were Caracas FC vice-president Philip Valentiner, club general manager Elio Quintal and first division team manager Noel Sanvicente together with Casa Italia president Ciro Mauriello, sports director Francesco Veneziani, maintenance director Miguel Faoro and committee member Cesar Rasetta.

CENTRO ESPAÑOL MATURIN FOOTBALL ACADEMY

The main reason we put pen to paper for this alliance is quite simple. ¨To give our youngsters the chance to be part of one of the most prestigious, traditional and successful organisations in the country.¨

This is the story behind a dream that began to see the light of day eight years ago. Since 1999, when the Football Academy was born, we have offered talented youngsters the chance to obtain high class sporting achievement focusing on the teaching, technical, scientific and administrative aspects of the genre.

It’s in this way, eight years down the road, that the Football Academy has achieved a name for itself in the local sporting world thanks to a serious work ethic combined with competitive spirit.

Some of the achievements include the following:

Three straight years as state champions in all junior categories.

U13 champions – Copa America championship.

U11 state champions.

U13 state champions.

U15 state champions.

The Centro Español Maturín Football Academy has a grass roots level ranging from U9s and going on through U11s, U13s, U15s, U17s and U20s.

In August, 2007, the academy’s current board of directors initiated a project entitled ¨Strengthening the Centro Español Football Academy¨ in which one of the main objectives was to look for options for our players with regard to teams in the Venezuelan Professional League.

Caracas FC was one of three organisations to give their approval to the project.

Having studied the proposals submitted by all the interested parties, we felt that Caracas Football Club was the ideal team for us to form an alliance with being an absolute leader in Venezuelan professional football. The perfect organisation, therefore, to help our youngsters develop fully on both a personal and sporting level.
